Overview about Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek

The roughly eighteen-day Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek begins in Beni and ventures deep into the inaccessible and less-traveled areas of the Dhaulagiri massif. Explore charming villages, terraced fields, and unspoiled forests as you make your way over high passes like the Dhampus Pass (5,240 meters) and the French Pass (5,360 meters). The trek offers breathtaking views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges as it passes through the Kali Gandaki River’s hidden valleys. At Jomsom, the journey comes to an end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of this incredible experience.

Day 0: On arrival at Pokhara Airport/Tourist Bus park picks up and transfers to the hotel, and short info about the trip at the office
Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Beni (830m/2,723ft). Overnight stay in Beni.
Day 2: Trek from Beni to Babichaur (950m/3,116ft). Overnight stay in Babichaur.
Day 3: Trek from Babichaur to Dharapani (1,400m/4,593ft). Overnight stay in Dharapani.
Day 4: Trek from Dharapani to Muri (1,850m/6,069ft). Overnight stay in Muri.
Day 5: Trek from Muri to Bagar (2,080m/6,824ft). Overnight stay in Bagar.
Day 6: Trek from Bagar to Dovan (2,600m/8,530ft). Overnight stay in Dovan.
Day 7: Trek from Dovan to Italian Base Camp (3,660m/12,008ft). Overnight stay in Italian Base Camp.
Day 8: Acclimatization day at Italian Base Camp. Overnight stay in Italian Base Camp.
Day 9: Trek from Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp (4,210m/13,810ft). Overnight stay in Glacier Camp.
Day 10: Trek from Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,750m/15,583ft). Overnight stay in Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Day 11: Acclimatization day at Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Overnight stay in Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Day 12: Cross the French Pass (5,360m/17,581ft) and descend to Hidden Valley (5,050m/16,568ft). Overnight stay in Hidden Valley.
Day 13: Cross the Dhampus Pass (5,240m/17,191ft) and descend to Yak Kharka (3,680m/12,073ft). Overnight stay in Yak Kharka.
Day 14: Trek from Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2,720m/8,924ft) via Marpha. Overnight stay in Jomsom.
Day 15: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Explore Pokhara in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 16: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Departure from Kathmandu.

What’s Included

  • 02 guest to 01 porter (Max weight limit for a porter- 20 kg (10 kg per trekker, weight limit).) with their insurance, salary, food, accommodation and equipment.
  • We provide an assistant guide his salary, food, drinks, accommodation, transport and insurance walking with group to support where necessary as per the group size.

  • Your Nepal Visa fees.

  • Kathmandu to Pokhara to Kathmandu/Chitwan transportation (if you want we can organize for you with additional cost).
  • Personal travel and health insurance as well as insurance for helicopter evacuation.
  • In case of extra nights’ accommodation, lunch and dinner in city due to early arrival and late departure as well as early back/return from mountain/trekking (due to any reason) than the given time period of itinerary. We can help you arrange extra nights’ accommodation.
  • Your personal expenses such as (laundry, baggage charge, phone calls, battery recharge, bar and beverage bill, boiled or bottle water, hot and cold shower, extra porter.. etc).
  • The tips to the trekking crews and drive.
  • Extra expenses due to flight delays, strikes, weather condition or any event out of our control.
  • Arrangement of emergency evacuation service (should have insurance for emergency evacuation and will be paid by your travel insurance company).
